Dr. Pere Mir Batlle has studied medicine at the University of Navarra and the University Clinic (Pamplona, 1985-1991) and specializes in the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital (Barcelona, 1992-1997). He has worked in national hospitals (Hospital Vall Hebron, Teknon clinic, Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol, Josep Trueta Hospital of Girona, Pilar Clinic, Remedy Clinic and Hospital de Berga) and international (Jackson Memorial Hospital Miami i Kings County Hospital New York).
He currently works at St. Barnabé Hospital Berga since 2001 where he is the Chief of Service. Other qualifications are: “General Practitioner in the Spanish National Health System, as well as the Public Social Security systems of other Member States of the European Communities ” (Ministry of Health. Madrid, 1995), Validation by Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) doctors to apply for places in the United States (1991), Certificate in Healthcare Management.
